:cake:
This is my favorite cake, and was a gift from my husband, Bert, for my birthday today! I shall immortalize it in a string of zeros and ones!
:cake:
In this case, I took two pictures of the cake, the "left" and the "right".
:cake:
For the second (right-hand) picture, I moved the camera a small distance to the right. Then I cropped the images and placed them on a black background. I did have to scale and distort the images a bit in Photoshop to get the images to my liking. I did have to clean up our kitchen a bit, both in reality and digitally! But, I will have my cake for a couple of days, and then I shall eat it too!
:work: :cake:
I experimented with the sizing and found that the best size for me to see this "Stereo-Cake" image resolve into the pseudo-3D format was to have the image width about 23 cm. (9 in.) and my chin was about 50 cm. (20 in.) from the screen.
:cake:
By the way, it is delicious; it is moist and sweet with out being overly sweet. It has a delightful light taste, and just melts in my mouth! It is a cake for kings, as pineapple is the fruit of kings. :cake:
Enjoy the view! I enjoyed both! :giggle:   :airborne: :boogie: :squee: :sprint:

Pineapple Upside-Down Stereo-Cake is my favorite birthday cake, too!

Great job on the 3D, as well.

Happy birthday! :0
Wow, looks like a yummy cake~
Interesting fact: my grandpa was a scientist and he worked with making images 3-d.... I'm proud of him, he was really smart.

When I was child, our grandparents were the "wiki" of the world. They had to teach their children how to live, garden, husbandry, crafts. So many of their daily requirements for living are now hobbies and past-times. My father's grandmother had to garden, tend chickens and harvest what they ate. There was no store within a reasonable walking distance, much less vehicles for transport. I learned many many survival lessons from her, and the rest of the group we called a family.

Life has changed a great deal in less than 50 years.! WOW! :D

I've seen a lot of these Stereo-things recently but idk what to do with them...they kind of only look like two photos beside each other - how do I have to view them or what do I have to do to see the effect?

Make the image on the monitor to be about 750 pixels wide. Place your face about 15 or 18 inches from the monitor, and look directly at the center black line. Let your eyes go out of focus, and you will begin to see a "mixture" of them both. It will take a few seconds to a minute or two for your brain to resolve the images, and you will see three images of the cake. The center one will have some 3D effects and some depth to it. :eyepopping:

It is sort of similar to viewing a stereo 3d image with the red-cyan glasses, but without the glasses, and it is in true color. I have made some of the red-cyan before, but one must have the glasses to see them perfectly. :eyes:

I hope this helps. :D
