This one began life as a finial, made in Rhino and the profile was rotated to make the 3D object, saved in .3ds format. I imported the finial object into Bryce for some materials and texturing. Using another Kaleidoscope image that I had already created, I imported the previously-created K-image into the Bryce Material Editor and applied it into the finial. I added a couple of lights for some added color contrast.

After some renderings to get the spacing, composition and materials to my liking, I then took the final output render from Bryce into Photoshop. There I made the kaleidoscope image, and applied a variety of special effects on several selections. I also decided where the transparency should be. I tried to make the image look good on a variety of solid background colors. Then I saved it as a .png file with the transparency intact.

There is very little shadowing on this image, compared to what I usually apply.
