To begin, I must give credit to Dover Publications for the paisley design elements I used. I used 3 symbols as the base for my mandala design. Here is a link to their "paisley" section: [link]

I experimented with three styles in one image this time. First I wanted to use a paisley theme, but a bit more sophisticated than that from the 1960's Flower Power Years. Secondly, I also wanted to do some fine gold metal filigree work, and thirdly, I wished to create digital "pressed milk glass" effects. If you are unfamiliar with milk glass, here is a short article on it on the Wikipedia: [link]

If you want to see the real image, on this one, you need to go full size to see all the minute details.

Thanx, Patty!
The "layer effects" in Photoshop allow one so much flexibility on making materials and having artistic fun! They are so flexible; and I continually learn new ways to use Photoshop! It is anamazing program! :D

Yes, I have been using PS since the very first 1.0 version, and that makes it easy for me now. But that is true for any software. :D

Have you looked into GIMP2? It has some nice features, and the best one being free.

What is(are) your objection(s)? :?
I just did not want to learn a new program, and it was not as advanced as Photoshop at the time. :|

You know it really does look like milk glass, and the gold filigree looks as it should and the pattern looks like it was made with beading, not so much the round beads but the small long beads!! It is beautiful, Danny!! I am wondering now...:lightbulb: One of my friends draws dragons traditionally and a couple of years ago she started posting line art she made of some of them, for people to color. Here is the link to her line art....[link] it doesn't go to the right folder...but it is the folder that says "art to color"....:D Just an idea, because to me it would be interesting to see how something like your milk glass, filigree, etc. would look painted on something other then a mandala! ....OK, now you can kill me!!

Thank you for the wonderful comment, Barb!:bow:
I will check into the line art. I do some already, when I am lacking a drawing inspiration! :D
And I have been thinking of moving into less geometric art for some different kinds of fun!:love::heart:
